Special Education Advocacy

Oceanview Therapy is led by two experienced speech-language pathologists, Alicia Earl and Carmen Schneider, who have supported students with diverse learning needs across the United States. Together, they work closely with families, school teams, and districts to help make the special education process clearer and less overwhelming. Their goal is to ensure that every child’s IEP is not only legally compliant, but also truly reflects the child’s strengths, needs, and long-term success.

Oceanview provides special education advocacy services to help families feel confident during the IEP process. This includes reviewing IEPs for accuracy and clarity, as well as attending meetings as a supportive, collaborative partner. Their approach focuses on teamwork, helping families and schools communicate effectively so that each plan is meaningful and easy to understand. A strong IEP should clearly explain a child’s needs so that services can continue smoothly, even if the child changes schools or districts.

Services are flexible and personalized, based on each family’s needs—whether it’s a one-time IEP review or ongoing support throughout the school year. Oceanview Therapy currently supports families in Georgia, Florida, and California and is committed to helping children receive the services they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
