About Our Directors
Oceanview Therapy was established in 2022 by Carmen Schneider, MS CCC-SLP, a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience providing high-quality speech and language evaluations for children with diverse communication needs.
She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University, followed by a master’s degree from Georgia State University, where she trained under nationally recognized experts in autism, stuttering, and language development.
Carmen holds licensure in both California, Pennsylvania, and Florida and has designed specialized evaluation and therapy programs for children who are multilingual, use AAC devices, or have developmental differences. Her work is grounded in cultural responsiveness, clinical precision, and family-centered care.
She remains actively engaged in professional learning, having persued advanced studies in Special Education Leadership (University of Cincinnati), Higher Education Teaching (Harvard University), and is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Applied Learning Sciences (University of Miami). Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Carmen enjoys hiking, journaling, and spending time with her family.

What They Say
I cannot say enough good things about Oceanview Therapy. My daughter with multiple complex disabilities recently started full time school. Not only did TheapyWorks help us find therapists who would work with our daughter at our house, they found us outstanding therapists who have really advanced her skills and help her toward her goals.
Jonah Schwarz
My family has had nothing but positive experiences with Oceanview Therapy was always professional, punctual, reliable and effective. Her follow up and communication was also above and beyond as I was always informed about my child’s progress. The billing was extremely easy as well.
Erin Lawrence
My daughter’s speech therapist, Matthew meets my daughter where she’s at, makes every interaction fun & supportive, confers with me to make sure I know the plan, and is just a joy for my daughter to work with. I thought going virtual would impede the process, but Matthew hasn’t missed a beat with her.
